Life with TWO!

...has been wonderful! Tiring, but wonderful. Little man keeps interesting hours sometimes, and since Evangeline doesn't nap anymore, that can make for one tired mommy. I love every moment of it though! Asher is sleeping better than he was before, but boy does he eat! For a few nights he was giving me 3 1/2 hour stretches, but the past couple nights its been more like 1 1/2 hours... eek. He's growing quickly! I need to sit down and write out his birth story, but that will have to wait for another day. For now, here are lots and lots of pictures in no particular order :)

Evie enjoying a lollipop at Asher's first doctor visit.

Grandpa came to visit!

My little Valentines :) I look exhausted, but hey, that's about right.

Asher's newborn pictures, taken by hubby's very talented sister.

His Pawpaw puts him to sleep very well!

This baby spits up like you would not believe! I thought his sister did. I was wrong. Hence he ended up in his sister's first Christmas bib. I never knew how much laundry a little baby could make until now...

Evie loves the movie Tangled. So we made her some Rapunzel hair.

All bundled up for a walk with daddy!

  1. Oh the kiddos are adorable. You look great, tired and all. It will become the new norm if it's anything like my household. Katie Bug is almost 6 months old and still eats every 2 -3 hours and on bad nights it's every 1 1/2 to 2. : ) All my babies have been "bad" sleepers but it's probably a bad overindulgent mother who lets them be bad sleepers. : )

Thanks for the update and photos. Love hearing from you.

  2. I totally feel for you on the spitting up! My older girls spit up normal amounts, but then came Graham. I didn't know how on earth he was even gaining weight as much as he spit up. I literally started using bath towels instead of burp rags at home because he spit up so much. We both went through SEVERAL outfits a day and I had to change his sheets every single time I laid him down (once he started sleeping in his crib). Oh it was awful. I can so sympathize with you! BUT, just remember it doesn't last forever! And then came Leah who hardly ever spit up AT ALL. There's always hope! :)

  3. Thanks so much for the update! It was lovely to hear about your life with two. :) My second spat up way more than my first, too. Oh, well. She spits up rarely now (6 months old). To every bad thing, there is an end, right? ;-) Enjoy your newborn!!

  4. Hi, Lauren! I have no idea if you ever do tags or not (busy mom of two, you may not have time or interest!), but I gave you an award on my book blog. I'd love to see your answers if you have time, or please feel free to completely ignore.
